One Piece pirates Luffy and Chopper appeared in a cross-over episode of the television anime series Kami-Usagi Rope on August 9. The collaborative episode titled "Sagase! Kaizoku Banpaku" (Let's Find It! The Pirate Expo) aired to promote the opening of the One Piece Stampede film on the same day.

Luffy is voiced by Mayumi Tanaka and Chopper is voiced by Ikue Ōtani.

One Piece Stampede is commemorating the TV anime's 20th anniversary. The film's plot centers on the world's greatest exposition of the pirates, by the pirates, for the pirates - the Pirates Festival. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Crew receive an invitation from its host Buena Festa who is known as the Master of Festivities. They arrive to find a venue packed with glamorous pavilions and many pirates including the ones from the Worst Generation.

The anime segment airs as part of Fuji TV's Mezamashi TV program each morning. This is the second time the characters have appeared on the program. Kami-Usagi Rope previously hosted Luffy and Chopper on the program in 2016 to promote the ONE PIECE FILM GOLD film.

Kami-Usagi Rope has previously featured cameos by GRANRODEO, Assassination Classroom characters, director Tim Burton, Despicable Me Minions, and the ninjas Boruto and Naruto.
