The BEASTARS Animals Take an Excursion at Saitama's Tobu Zoo

posted on by Kim Morrissy
Collaboration event will run from November 2 to December 29

It's pretty normal for animals to be at the zoo, but the anthropomorphic animals in BEASTARS are at Saitama's Tobu Zoo as students on an excursion. Tobu Zoo released a key visual on its website and announced a collaboration for November 2 until December 29.

The collaboration was planned as a celebration of Weekly Shōnen Champion's 50th anniversary. The magazine has been serializing BEASTARS since September 2016. Super-deformed art has been prepared for the limited-time goods and food items that will be sold during the collaboration period. There are also plans to involve character voices at the venue. Further details will be announced in mid-October.

The manga takes place in a world of carnivores and herbivores, where there is a lot of hope, love, and anxiety. Regoshi is a wolf who is a member of Cherryton Academy's drama club, and even though he's a wolf, he's very sensitive. The manga follows the adolescent life of Regoshi and many other animals. The anime will debut in Netflix in Japan on October 8, and will premiere on Fuji TV's [+Ultra] programming block and on TV Nishinippon on October 9.
