Her Blue Sky Exhibit at Shibuya Tower Records is Also an Anohana Tribute

posted on by Kim Morrissy

The latest Chouheiwa Busters anime Her Blue Sky is holding an exhibit in the Shibuya Tower Records from October 18 to November 10. Not only does the exhibit show off art from Her Blue Sky, it is also a tribute to anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day and The Anthem of the Heart. You'll find a life-sized statue of Menma and art materials from anohana and The Anthem of the Heart.

During the exhibit's run, Tower Records stores in Japan (excluding the Morinomiya Q's Mall branch) have been holding various collaborations with Her Blue Sky. Each store is displaying a collaboration poster until November 9. From October 10 to October 23, Aoi's voice actor Shion Wakayama handled the announcement whenever the stores opened for the day, and a stand panel of Aoi was also displayed in various store branches. A Twitter campaign was also held to give out posters signed by Wakayama.

Her Blue Sky opened in Japan on October 11. Director Tatsuyuki Nagai, writer and director Mari Okada, and artist Masayoshi Tanaka — the members of Chouheiwa Busters — handled the film. Nagai directed, Okada penned the script, and Tanaka drew the original character designs and served as chief animation director. CloverWorks was in charge of animation production.
