Voice Actor Shizuka Ishigami Joins How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? 'Muscle Carnival' Event

The television anime of Yabako Sandrovich and MAAM's How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? (Dumbbell Nan-Kilo Moteru? or How much heavy dumbbells can you lift?) manga announced on Friday that Ayaka Uehara's voice actor Shizuka Ishigami will be attending the "Muscle Carnival" event on November 30 at the Yamano Hall in Tokyo. The event also revealed a key visual:
The full list of participating voice actors are Ai Fairouz (Hibiki Sakura), Sora Amamiya (Akemi Soryuin), Kaito Ishikawa (Naruzo Machio), Shizuka Ishigami (Ayaka Uehara), Nao Tōyama (Gina Boyd), and Yui Horie (Satomi Tachibana).
A variety of merch items will be sold at the event, ranging from key holders and badges featuring the girls to a T-shirt bulging with Machio's muscles. You can also buy a soft toy shaped like a dumbbell. More information about the goods can be accessed on the anime's official website. Merch can be bought even without a ticket to the main event.
The anime premiered on July 3. The "body-building comedy" centers around Hibiki, a high school girl who loves eating, and Akemi, the beautiful and charismatic student council president who has a muscle fetish. The staff describes the story:
"Hibiki … Are you fat again?"
A friend's cruel words which cut like a knife into the heart of Hibiki Sakura, a high school girl who loves to eat. Hibiki decided to go on a diet to be absolutely thin by summer vacation, but she cannot keep exercising right alone. That's when Hibiki found herself before a training gym! Upon joining the gym, Hibiki meets her beautiful and charismatic student council president Akemi Sōryūin and steps into the intense yet enjoyable world of weight-training.
