Burger King Teases Dragon Ball Super Figures in U.S.

American fast food restaurant Burger King made a startling announcement on Friday: it is partnering with the popular anime series Dragon Ball Super. The announcement showcases six Dragon Ball Super figures — Son Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Son Goku, Vegita, Super Saiyan Blue Vegita, Beerus, and Piccolo — with the caption “Your next power-up is closer than you think…”:

As of press time, Burger King has not revealed when or how the Dragon Ball Super figures will be available.

Dragon Ball Super is the sequel to Dragon Ball Z anime series. Dragon Ball Super originated with the 2013 film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and the 2015 sequel film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'. The staff rearranged the two films into the early seasons of Dragon Ball Super with the later seasons focusing on new stories. The anime series has since spawned two sequel films, 2018's Dragon Ball Super: Broly and 2022's Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
