Otakon 2025 Hosts Tougen Anki Voice Actors Hiroshi Kamiya, Kōtarō Nishiyama

August 8-10 event in Washington D.C. marks Kamiya's 1st appearance outside Japan

The staff of Otakon announced on Friday that it will host voice actors Hiroshi Kamiya (Noragami, URUSEI YATSURA) and Kōtarō Nishiyama (My New Boss Is Goofy, My Happy Marriage) from the television anime of Yura Urushibara's Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise manga.

Kamiya plays Naito Mudano and Nishiyama plays Jin Kougasaki in the anime.

Otakon noted that this will be Kamiya's first appearance outside of Japan.

Otakon 2025 is scheduled for August 8-10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

The event will also host voice actors Nobutoshi Canna, Ryōko Shiraishi, Ayana Taketatsu, Kanna Nakamura, Taishi Murata, and Ryōta Takeuchi; Maho Film animation producer Yūki Mukai; manga artists Chika Mizube, Minoji Kurata, and Sai Naekawa; manga editor Takumi Kamemaru; illustrator CHRIS; character designer and animation director Hidenori Matsubara; author and composer Taketeru Sunamori; J-pop singer MindaRyn; A-1 Pictures' director Shōtarō Kitamura and production manager Yūtarō Itō; and the creative team behind the Too Many Losing Heroines! light novels. It will host voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi and Studio Trigger staff members Hiroki Arai, Hiromi Wakabayashi, and Sushio. The event will host voice actor Miyuri Shimabukuro, animation director Shinya Watada, and producer Hidetake Nishigaya from the Rock is a Lady's Modesty anime as well as director Hiroaki Sakurai and producer Kanako Ayano from the upcoming The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess anime. Voice actor Shūichirō Umeda from The Summer Hikaru Died will also attend as a guest.

The event will host the U.S. premiere of the first episode of the television anime of Sai Naekawa's This Monster Wants to Eat Me (Watashi o Tabetai, Hito de nashi) manga on August 8. Manga creator Sai Naekawa, manga editor Takumi Kamemaru, and anime producer Ena Hamabe will attend the convention and host a talk about the manga and anime.

Last year's event took place in August 2024 and reached 46,000 attendants, setting a new record.
