ADV Acquires Makoto Shinkai's 5cm Per Second

Making a second exclusive announcement this week, ADV has confirmed the licensing of Byōsoku 5 Centimeter - a chain of short stories about their distance (5cm per Second). This second full-length film from the independent director Makoto Shinkai, which is composed of three individual segments, will be released theatrically later in the year and on DVD in December. ADV has previously released both Shinkai's debut OVA Voices of a Distant Star and his feature The Place Promised in Our Early Days.
