Gonzo Animates Touch Detective Mushroom Garden App's Promo

The Japanese animation studio Gonzo produced a promotional video for Osawari Tantei Nameko Saibai Kit (Touch Detective Mushroom Garden/Fungi Gardening Kit), a smartphone app from Touch Detective developer BeeWorks. In the app, the player harvests a crop of 30 or more different mushrooms. The game employs touch gestures just like BeeWorks' most famous game, the original Touch Detective.
The promotional video reunited director and storyboarder Takahiro Yoshimatsu with his Nyanpire The Animation team. Hideaki Iwami served as the project's animation director and editor.
The app is available for both iOS devices (such as the iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. It has been downloaded 2.7 million times for iOS since last June, and it became available for Android devices on December 21. It has reached #1 on the free game ranking charts in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Macao, Thailand, and elsewhere.
