Pokémon Reburst Manga Ends in October

Series about warrior who can combine with Pokémon premiered in Shonen Sunday last year

This year's 44th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on October 3 that the Pokémon Reburst manga will end in the magazine's 45th issue on October 10.

Mitsuhisa Tamura and Jun Kusude launched the manga in the magazine in March 2011. Pokémon manga have previously run in Shogakukan's Monthly Coro Coro Comics magazine and related publications, which are aimed at younger readers than Shonen Sunday.

Shogakukan published the manga's sixth volume (pictured at right) on September 18.

The manga revolves around Ryōga, a warrior who has an ability called "Burst" that allows him to combine with his Pokémon. Ryōga and his friends are traveling with their Pokémon to find a mysterious figure known as "Arcades."
