Senran Kagura TV Anime's Ad Aired

A television commercial began airing for the upcoming television anime adaptation of the Senran Kagura side-scrolling action game based around female ninjas. The video features the opening theme song "Break Your World" by 3rd All-Japan Anison Grand Prix winner Sayaka Sasaki.
Takashi Watanabe (Shakugan no Shana, Slayers) is directing the series at the anime studio Artland. Takao Yoshioka (Sekirei, Elfen Lied) is in charge of the series scripts, while Takashi Torii is serving as the character designer and chief animation director. The character designs for the franchise were originally created by Nan Yaegashi while Yukinori Kitajima (Okamiden) assisted in creating its original story.
The anime will premiere on the AT-X channel on January 6. (It will then run on other channels, such as on BS11 and Tokyo MX TV on January 10.)
