Capcom announced that it has cancelled the Resident Evil event in London after a British soldier was killed by two men with a knife and machete in the London neighborhood of Woolwich. The attack is being treated as a possible act of terrorism.

Capcom planned to hold the Resident Evil Revelations: Unveiled Edition event on May 25 and 26. The event was to make use of a pool with added color that looked like blood that attendees could swim in.

The U.K. network ITV captured the aftermath of Lee Rigby's murder and a statement by one of the alleged attackers. Both were shot by police and taken to receive medical treatment.
