Kantai Collection Game Tops 2 Million Registered Users

The official Twitter account for Kadokawa Games' Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- (Fleet Collection) game announced on Friday that the moe-character card battle game's registered players surpassed 2 million this week. Kadokawa Games launched the original free-to-play browser game with the service provider DMM.com last April.
In the game, players compete with cards featuring female moe characters inspired by Japanese World War II warships such as aircraft carriers, battleships, and cruisers. Players build, organize, and repair their anthropomorphized fleet to progress through maps.
The game has inspired manga series and a television anime slated to premiere this year.
