Natsume Developing Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley 3DS Game

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Game by new team to feature fully customizable world in "3D setting"

Game company Natsume announced on Tuesday that it is developing the next Harvest Moon title, Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, for the Nintendo 3DS. Natsume owns the English title Harvest Moon, although this new game is not directly connected to the previous Bokujō Monogatari games that Natsume localized as Harvest Moon.

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will feature a fully customizable world in a "three-dimensional setting." Natsume president and CEO Hiro Maekawa said, "Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is truly evolving the franchise. Hardcore fans will love it, players who haven't played a Harvest Moon game in a while will want to try it out, and new players will be introduced to the unique and charming world that is Harvest Moon."

Gaming website Siliconera confirmed that franchise creator Yasuhiro Wada is not working on the title. Natsume began working on Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley early last year and will release the game sometime this year.

Xseed Games will release Marvelous AQL's Bokujō Monogatari: Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi title as Story of Seasons in North America this year. That game shares the same development team, including producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto and character designer Igusa Matsuyama, as the previous Harvest Moon games.
