Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival's English 3DS Trailer Posted

Recreation of trading card game heads to N. America this September

Nintendo began streaming a 77-second English trailer for the Nintendo 3DS game Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival on Monday. The game (known as Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Gekitotsu! Duel Carnival in Japan) is designed to provide a genuine dueling experience similar to the original Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game.

This first Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal video game includes over 5,700 cards that players can use to construct their decks to duel. The cards feature monsters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime and the latest powerful cards. Players can fight against more than 40 characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, and 12 of the playable characters have storylines for players to advance through.

The game shipped in Japan last December, and it is scheduled for Europe and Australia on June 26 (in physical retail packages, unlike in North America). It will then come to North America this September.

The current Yu-Gi-Oh! television anime in English, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II, originally premiered in Japan in October 2012. Konami began airing this series on The CW's Vortexx programming block in the United States last August. Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, the latest anime series in Japan, premiered in April.
