This year's 30th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that musical groups Mucc and 7!! will perform the new opening and ending theme songs for the Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R (The File of Young Kindaichi Returns) television anime. Mucc (Inu X Boku Secret Service, Naruto Shippuden) will perform the opening theme titled, “Yue ni, Matenrō” (Therefore, a Skyscraper), while the group 7!! (also known as 7!! ~seven oops~; You and Me., Naruto Shippuden) will perform the new ending theme, titled, “Start Line.”

The anime revolves around title character Hajime Kindaichi, a high school student who solves any case or mystery with his IQ of 180. He usually seems dull, but when there is a case, he demonstrates remarkable deductive skills inherited from his famous detective grandfather.

The new anime adaptation of Yōzaburō Kanari and Fumiya Sato's Kindaichi Case Files manga began airing in Japan in April, and has constantly ranked high on Japan's animation TV rankings since its debut. Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside of Japan as it airs.
