Voice Actress Saori Hayashi Announces Retirement After Worrying Blog Posts

Hajime no Ippo actress states depression as cause for previous posts; retirement post has since been removed

Voice actress Saori Hayashi posted on her official blog on Monday about her current situation after she posted worrying blog posts earlier this month. She wrote:

I, Saori Hayashi, have caused great trouble for my fans, those related to my work, and those at Axl-One with my actions, and for that, I deeply apologize. I especially give my apologies to Axl-One and their staff, who I have caused so much trouble for, even though I've just entered the agency.

Atomic Monkey has done nothing wrong.
What I wrote was nothing more than my self-victimizing delusion due to suffering from depression. They haven't done a single millimeter of wrong-doing. There isn't such a wonderful company in the entire world. The people at Atomic Monkey have been extremely tolerant, and I am very grateful. Thanks to Atomic Monkey, I have come back to my senses. I give my thanks to Atomic Monkey, who changed my life.

Though it was to take my life, I can't return to being a voice actress with this kind of face caused by me hanging myself. Thank you all so, so much for cheering me on until now.

Saori Hayashi is retiring.

Also, Saori Hayashi has quit Axl-One, so please stop trying to contact them about this incident. I've already quit Axl-One, so they have nothing to do with me.

Thank you so much up until now.

Goodbye.

The post has since been removed.

Hayashi wrote a worrying blog post earlier this month. In the post, she wrote:

Atomic Monkey is going to kill me. I'm going to be killed by Atomic Monkey's employees. I'm tired. I'm tired of trying. Everyone, thank you for everything, and goodbye. I'm wishing for everyone's happiness from heaven. Dad, mom, I'm so sorry, but I've lived enough.

Her agency Axl-One later confirmed her safety.

Hayashi debuted as a voice actress in 2011 working under the talent agency Atomic Monkey, but left for agency Axl-One in 2012. She has played such roles as Kumacaron in Donyatsu, Mogi in Sankarea, and Kumi Mashiba in Hajime no Ippo Rising. As with many minor characters in the Sacred Seven anime, she played a character named after herself.
