Go Nagai to Launch New Gekiman! Manga in July

Nihonbungeisha's Weekly Manga Goraku magazine announced on Friday that Gō Nagai (Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Cutey Honey) will launch the Gekiman! ~Mazinger Z no Shō~ (Gekiman!: Mazinger Z Chapter) manga in the next issue on July 4.
The autobiographical manga will reveal the untold story of the creation of Nagai's Mazinger Z mecha manga. The manga will be part of the project to celebrate the magazine's 50th anniversary.
Nagai's Gekiman! ~Devilman no Shõ~ (Gekiman!: Devilman Chapter) manga ran in the magazine from 2010 to 2012, and Nihonbungeisha published six compiled book volumes. The story focuses on the Devilman action horror manga's creation and the events in Nagai's life at that time.
Nagai ended his Cutey Honey vs Devilman Lady manga last October. He served as a member of the nominating committee for the 18th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prizes this year.
