Sabagebu! creator Hidekichi Matsumoto also draws new short in Young Magazine

The August issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine is announcing on Thursday that Hidekichi Matsumoto's shōjo manga Sabagebu! (Survival Game Club!) is spawning two special chapters in other Kodansha magazines. The chapters will run in this year's 32nd issue of Morning magazine on July 10 and this year's 34th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine on July 23. Plus, Matsumoto will draw a new manga short in this year's 31st issue of Young Magazine on Monday, June 30.

The story of the original "high-school gun girl action" manga revolves around Momoka Sonokawa, a girl who transfers into a certain girls' high school. The club she ends up joining at school is the "Sabagebu!," a club that conducts survival games. "For high school girls, everyday is survival."

Matsumoto began the manga in Nakayoshi in 2011, and Kodansha will ship the seventh compiled volume on July 7. The Sabagebu! television anime will premiere on July 6. Matsumoto's Honto ni Atta! Reibai-Sensei manga was also adapted into an anime in 2011.
