The August issue of Shogakukan's Ciao magazine for girls is announcing on Wednesday that a Nintendo 3DS game inspired by Nao Maita's 12-sai (Age 12.) manga has been green-lit, and will ship this winter in Japan. The game is classified as "romance/adventure," and the magazine lists that the player will be able to become either Hanabi or Yui. According to a comment by Maita, the game will have an original story. A demo of the game will be available to play at the Ciao Summer Festival 2014 event at the Happinet Booth. Those who play the demo will receive a clear file with a design featuring Hanahi from 12-sai and Kokone from Dolly Kanon.
In addition, the magazine lists that the original manga now has over seven hundred thousand copies in print.
The manga also inspired an original video anime featured on the May edition of Ciao's bonus DVD series, Ciao Ciao TV!. Maita launched the Age 12 manga in Ciao in 2012, and Shogakukan will publish the fourth compiled volume on Tuesday.
