Anime Mirai Announces Projects for 2015

Makoto Tezuka, Youhei Suzuki, Ken'ichi Ishikura, Yumiko Suda to direct next year's shorts

The Association of Japanese Animations (AJA) announced its choices for the Anime Mirai 2015 program on Tuesday. Applications were accepted from May 30 to June 27. The selected projects include:

"Aki no Kanade" (Aki's Music-Playing)
Director: Youhei Suzuki (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat.)
Producer: Yuji Matsukura (Witch Craft Works, Selector Infected Wixoss)
Animation Production Producer: Atsushi Fujishiro (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat., Golden Time)
Animation Production: JC Staff

"Robot Kaa-san" (Robot Mom)
Director: Yumiko Suda (Chibi Maruko-chan, Lady Georgie)
Producer: Kenichi Hayafune (Chibi Maruko-chan)
Animation Production: SynergySP (Cross Game, Kirarin Revolution)

"Ongaku Shōjo" (Music Girl)
Director: Ken'ichi Ishikura (Sakura Trick, Maria Holic)
Producer: Norimitsu Urasaki (Sakura Trick, Sankarea: Undying Love)
Animation Production: Studio Deen (Bakumatsu Rock, Fruits Basket, Rurouni Kenshin)

"Kumi to Tulip" (Kumi and Tulip)
Director: Makoto Tezuka (Black Jack)
Producer: Yoshihiro Shimizu (Black Jack The Movie)
Animation Production Producer: Mitsuaki Ooishi (Black Jack)
Animation Production: Tezuka Productions

This year's selection committee included Production I.G president Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, AT-X television channel's representative director Keisuke Iwata, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music professor Mitsuko Okamoto, Bones animator Toshihiro Kawamoto, Studio Live representative director Hiroshi Koujina, anime director Gisaburô Sugii, anime director Ryousuke Takahashi, MBS Tokyo's executive Seiji Takeda, and Animage editor-in-chief Toshiya Matsushita.
