From the New World, One Piece, Fairy Tail Released Monday

MVM will release the first volume of the series From the New World (right) on Blu-ray and DVD and Monday August 11. A-1 Pictures adapted Yūsuke Kishi's award-winning 2008 speculative-fiction novel. The series was directed by Masashi Ishihama, the character designer and animation director of the Read or Die franchise and Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW,.
The story is set in Japan a millennium from now. Five children — Saki, Satoru, Maria, Mamoru, and Shun — have been born and raised in a tranquil town. The children come to realize the true nature of their world, including the bloody history that brought humanity to this state.
The original novel shared The Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of Japan's 29th Nihon SF Taishō Award with Mitsuo Iso's Dennō Coil anime series in 2008.
Manga Entertainment will release the latest volumes of two of its ongoing series, One Piece and Fairy Tail. One Piece Volume 7 (left) will carry parts 157 to 182 of the series, while Fairy Tail part 8 (right) will carry parts 85 to 96. One Piece will be DVD-only, but Fairy Tail will be released as both a Blu-ray and DVD.
