Love Hina, Aho Girl Get Crossover Manga One-Shot

Aho Girl's Hiroyuki to write and draw; Love Hina's Akamatsu to draw color page

This year's 38th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine will announce on August 20 that manga artist Hiroyuki will draw a two-part crossover with his manga series Aho Girl (Stupid Girl) and Ken Akamatsu's Love Hina. Both parts will appear in the magazine's 39th issue on August 27. Ken Akamatsu also will provide a special Love Hina color page and a "Bath Poster" will ship with the magazine.

Hiroyuki is a big fan of Akamatsu's Love Hina, and the ad refers to the crossover as a tribute.

Hiroyuki's Aho Girl (Stupid Girl) began in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012. Kodansha will ship the fourth compiled volume in Japan on Saturday. The story revolves around high school girl Yoshiko, who is so ridiculously stupid everyday that even her childhood friend Takkun wants to give her a big punch.

Ken Akamatsu's Love Hina ran in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1998 to 2001. Tokyopop published the series in North America and Kodansha rereleased the series in an omnibus format. Akamatsu began his newest series UQ Holder! in Weekly Shōnen Magazine starting in 2013.
