Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid Manga Gets TV Anime

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Masaki Tsuzuki, Takuya Fujima's manga takes place 4 years after events in StrikerS

ANN has confirmed that a fan passed out at the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha booth at the Comiket 86 (Comic Market) dōjinshi event revealed on Friday that Masaki Tsuzuki and Takuya Fujima's Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid manga is getting a television anime adaptation.

The fan also reveals a http://nanoha-vivid.tv/ website address that now has a key visual:

Tsuzuki and Fujima launched the manga in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine in May 2009. Kadokawa released the 12th compiled volume in July.

The manga takes place four years after the JS incident in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS, and stars Vivio Takamichi, a fourth-year elementary student at St. Hilde Academy of Magic. Vivio has learned to conjure her adult form and has received her own Device — named Sacred Heart — from Nanoha, and has promised Nanoha to never use either for mischief. Then a mysterious magical fighter appears and targets Vivio.

Tsuzuki's Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise includes three television anime series, two anime films, and numerous spinoff manga. A third film, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 3rd: Reflection, was listed in January as being slated for this year.

Update: Added key visual now that the official website is live.
