Film ranks #11 in theatrically released anime of all time in N. America, above Princess Mononoke
Box Office Mojo reported that Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods pulled in US$2,553,002 as of Tuesday, August 12, after adding more screening at over 350 theaters.
It currently ranks as #11 in theatrically released anime of all time in North America, under Howl's Moving Castle, The Wind Rises, Digimon: The Movie, Spirited Away, Pokémon 3 - The Movie, The Secret World of Arrietty, Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie, Pokemon: The Movie 2000, and Pokémon: The First Movie.
The September issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine announced last month that a new Dragon Ball Z movie will open during the Golden Week string of holidays next spring.
