Gurren Lagann Update

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Release date of 'Ultimate' edition moved back to September 29, art book is upsized and bit-rate increased.

Anime Limited has posted the following updates on its All the Anime blog regarding its 'Ultimate Edition' of the series Gurren Lagann. (Anime Limited confirmed to ANN that the comments only applied to the Ultimate Edition, and not to the DVD or 'regular' Blu-ray editions of the series).

- Gurren Lagann is moving from September 1st to September 29th. This is because we only received the final sign-off for the art book at the end of last week and as this project requires special parts it takes at least 5 weeks to turnaround to get it to retail.

- Art book is now 18.1cm x 21cm -> not A5 (small).

- Packaging has been upsized to fit the book inside.

- Art book's page count is now 116 pages inc covers.

- Following fan QC – we upped the bit-rate on the TV series -> Averages out now at 30MBPs.
