Queen's Blade: Vanquished Queens Gets New Anime Episode

Online retailer Amazon lists Hobby Japan's Queen's Blade art book Vanquished Queens 3 in a September 30 limited-edition bundle with the Vanquished Queens Niizuma Musan anime. The anime Blu-ray Disc will feature the decisive battle between the amnesiac former queen Aldra and Irma, the assassin who vows vengeance. The veteran mercenary Echidna will also appear in the anime.
The illustrated short stories in the original 2011 Vanquished Queens visual book depict the defeats in battle of various Queen's Blade characters. The first two anime episodes were bundled with two Queen's Blade Premium Visual Books last year. The Queen's Blade: Rebellion: Numachi no Majo Werbellia (Queen's Blade: Rebellion: The Swamp Witch Werbellia) book bundled the third episode this past March.
The Queen's Blade franchise began with Hobby Japan's fantasy game books, which are Japanese spinoffs from Flying Buffalo's Lost Worlds game series. (In these games, players simulate turn-based fighting with books that each represent a character.) The Queen's Blade books already inspired three television anime series and several original video anime volumes.
