AnimeNation Retailer Closes Shop After 20 Years

Company's AN Entertainment branch released Omishi Magical Theater: Risky Safety, Miami Guns, Haré+Guu in North America

AnimeNation.net's Gene Field announced on Saturday that the online retail company is closing shop after 20 years.

Field offered the following statement:

After 20 years, we've decided to get out of the retail game. A heartfelt thanks to all our great customers over the years, and all of the terrific employees that made AnimeNation a fun & dynamic place to work. At times it's been a dream come true. We've been doing this a long time though, and it's just time to move on to new and different challenges.

The store will send out e-mails to customers regarding current orders or customers can contact the store at [email protected] regarding cancellations, refunds, shipment tracking, and other inquiries. Field stated RentAnime.com will continue with more focus. The site's forums, news blog, and Facebook page will remain active.

AnimeNation was founded in 1995 and established its AN Entertainment branch in 2003. The company licensed and released Omishi Magical Theater: Risky Safety, Miami Guns, and Haré+Guu in North America.
