Fantasista Doll designer Anmi starts manga on October 27 in Comic Rex magazine

The November issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex magazine is announcing on Saturday that a manga adaptation of Subaru and Gainax's Hōkago no Pleiades anime will launch in the following issue on October 27. Fantasista Doll character designer Anmi is drawing the manga series based on the franchise from the car maker and the anime studio.

The story centers around an afterschool club of magical girls who help recover fragments so that an alien from Pleiades can return home. The Pleiades is the English name for the star cluster that the Japanese call "Subaru" — the origin of the car maker's name and six-star logo. Subaru and Gainax streamed the original anime online with English subtitles.

The manga is debuting before the franchise's television anime premieres. In addition to the original net anime project, there was also a film.
