Final Fantasy XV Game's Combat Footage Streamed

Final Fantasy XV's new director Hajime Tabata discusses RPG

Square Enix's official YouTube channel hosted the "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Urgent Talk Show Long Version" live streaming program with director Hajime Tabata on Friday to discuss the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy VX games. During the program, Tabata showcased some Final Fantasy XV gameplay which focuses on the game's combat. (Final Fantasy XV footage begins at around the 48:19 mark.)

At the end of the video, Tabata also discusses the official assets Square Enix is providing after fans began editing images from the game's Tokyo Game Show trailer that debuted last month. The meme amuses Tabata, and Square Enix is encouraging fans to continue making images of characters viewing edited scenery from their convertible.

Square Enix announced last month that Tabata is replacing Tetsuya Nomura as director of Final Fantasy VX. Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda assured that the development team is still working hard towards the completion of the game under Tabata. Nomura will instead focus his efforts on Kingdom Hearts III, although his original contributions to Final Fantasy XV in story, world-building, and characters will still remain.

Square Enix also announced in September that it will release Final Fantasy Type-0 HD in March with a chance for players to try a "Episode Duscae" demo of Final Fantasy XV.
