Gakuen Psycho-Pass Slapstick Spinoff Web Manga Launches

Illustrator and manga creator Shiina Soga (Necromancer, Shōkoku no Altair-san) launched the Psycho-Pass spinoff manga Gakuen Psycho-Pass (Psycho-Pass Academy) on Mag Garden's Comic Blade website on Monday.
Gakuen Psycho-Pass recasts the anime characters in super-deformed style as students who attend the "Psycho-Pass Academy" governed by Sibyl. Akane Tsunemori enrolls in the public morals committee and has slapstick encounters with Shinya Kogami and her other upperclassmen.
Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Garden magazine will also launch the Psycho-Pass 2 manga in the magazine's December issue on November 5. Saru Hashino will draw the manga, which will be based on Gen Urobuchi's story concept and will follow the anime sequel's story.
The Psycho-Pass anime already inspired the Kanshikan Tsunemori Akane (Inspector Akane Tsunemori) and Psycho Pass: Kanshikan Kōgami Shinya (Psycho-Pass: Inspector Shinya Kōgami) manga spinoffs. The Kanshikan Tsunemori Akane series has over 380,000 copies in print.
The Psycho-Pass 2 television anime series will debut on October 9, followed by the Psycho-Pass movie this winter.
