Risque comedy inspired anime series, live-action film

The editors of Kadokawa's Dragon Age magazine are announcing in the November issue on Thursday that Mari Matsuzawa's Saikin, Imōto no Yōsu ga Chotto Okashiin Da Ga. (Recently, my sister is unusual.) is going on hiatus due to the author's poor physical health. The editors apologized to readers who were looking forward to a new chapter in the issue, and noted that Matsuzawa is diligently recovering. The editors also asked readers to please wait for the manga to return. The notice did not mention a return date.

The risque comedy revolves around a girl named Mitsuki Kanzaki, who lives with her step-brother Yūya after her mother remarries. One day, Mitsuki is possessed by the self-proclaimed spirit of a young girl, Hiyori Kotobuki. Hiyori (in Mitsuki's body) must fall in love with Yūya to move toward the "Gates of Heaven."

The seventh compiled manga volume shipped on June 30 and the limited edition bundled an original video anime. A television anime based on the series premiered in January and a live-action film opened in theaters in Japan in May.
