Brains Base, Kiddy Grade's Gotoh Unveil Chōjikū Robo Meguru Project
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Anime studio Brains Base opened a special website for its first original project, Chōjikū Robo Meguru (Super Dimensional Robo Meguru), last Monday. The story is about unimaginable incidents that occur around a seemingly ordinary high school girl.
Keiji Gotoh (Kiddy Grade, Uta∽Kata ) is credited with directing Chōjikū Robo Meguru with original character designs by Masami Sueoka (Detective Conan films' 3DCG). The project's promotional image also credits the 3D animation studio Studio A-Cat. Gotoh updated his blog on Friday to discuss the project. He has been involved in the direction, storyboards, animation character designs, animation direction, key animation, and other aspects of the project. He added that the project was unable to come to fruition in 2008, but due to various circumstances, it can finally see the light of day.
Brains Base plans to release an eight-minute promotional video for the project and open a special website in early November. The video will be bundled on DVD with a booklet with character designs, storyboards, key animation sketches, an original manga, and other materials. The booklet will be 80 pages long with a full-color cover and black-and-white interior pages. It will retail for 1,500 yen (about US$14) in a limited run of 300.
