The November issue of Kadokawa's Comic Beam magazine announced on Saturday that actor Katsuo Kawai and manga creator Ebine Yamaji will collaborate on a new manga series titled Sanctuary beginning in the next issue next month.
The manga is the second part of a six-part "Katsuo Kawai & the Six Girls" project in which actor Katsuo Kawai collaborates with female manga artists to produce new works. The first project, a one-shot titled Hotaru no Sōzu no Koto (About the Buddhist Priest of the Fireflies), was drawn by Yō Endō.
JManga once licensed and released Yamaji's Love My Life yuri manga in North America. A live-action film adaptation of the manga premiered in 2006.
