posted on by Egan Loo
The newest single from Sound Horizon, the musical act led by composer Revo, is inspring a manga that will run in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine. According to the magazine's December issue (which is shipping on Saturday), the single "Vanishing Starlight" will serve as the story basis for this manga. The special project will commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sound Horizon and the 20th anniversary of Shōnen Ace.
Revo gained new fans when he created the theme songs for the Attack on Titan anime under the name Linked Horizon. He then performed the anime's first opening theme song "Guren no Yumiya" at last year's heavily watched Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle) competition on NHK.
Sound Horizon is also celebrating the 10th anniversary of its major label debut with theatrical screenings of The Assorted Horizons film (which sold a record 18,390 Blu-ray Discs in its first week). It also released an animated music video for the song "Yodaka No Hoshi" (The Nighthawk Star) by Kamikaze Douga (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure television anime's opening sequences). "Yodaka No Hoshi" is one of the songs on the single "Vanishing Starlight."
