Tatsuhisa Suzuki stars as exorcist sent to Sengoku era in Makoto Ogino's latest series

Publisher Leed unveiled an anime video online and in bookstores to promote Monday's release of Makoto Ogino's second Kujakuoh ~Sengoku Tensei~ manga volume. Tatsuhisa Suzuki plays the title character, Picciolina plays Asura, Seiko Yoshida plays Nobunaga, Keiji Fujiwara plays Hideyoshi, and Masakazu Nishida plays Ieyasu.

The manga centers around Kujaku, an exorcist with supernatural powers who already starred several previous manga series. In this latest series, Kujaku is suddently transported to Japan's Era of Warring States (Sengoku Jidai). He must fight against a curse that has created yōkai (supernatural creatures).

Kazuhiro Furuhashi directed the anime at Asahi Production with character designs by Hirotaka Tokuda.

Ogino launched the Kujakuoh ~Sengoku Tensei~ manga series in Leed's Comic Ran Twins Sengoku Bushō Retsuden magazine in 2012. Ogino is also serializing Kujakuoh Rising, a manga about Kujaku's childhood, in Shogakukan's Monthly! Spirits magazine. The original Kujakuoh manga inspired two multi-part original video anime projects as well as two live-action films.
