All slated for 2015; Rayearth to also get Blu-ray Discs in 2016

North American anime distributor Discotek Media announced on Friday that it will release the Magic Knight Rayearth television anime, the Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas original video anime, the Descendants of Darkness television anime, the IGPX television series, and the Lupin III: Bank of Liberty (Lupin III: From Russia With Love) television special next year.

The 1994-1995 Magic Knight Rayearth anime adapted CLAMP's fantasy manga of the same name. Discotek's release will include the complete series on DVD with both English subtitles and dubbing in 2015. It will also offer a Blu-ray Disc version in 2016. Discotek Media did not specify if its release will include both Magic Knight Rayearth television anime series, although Media Blasters previously released both on DVD in North America.

The Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas anime adapts Shiori Teshirogi's Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa manga, which itself is a prequel to Masami Kurumada's mythological fantasy manga Saint Seiya. Discotek will offer the complete series with English subtitles.

The 2000-2001 Descendants of Darkness television anime adapted Yoko Matsushita's supernatural horror manga of the same name. Discotek will offer the complete series with both English subtitles and dubbing. Central Park Media previously released this anime on DVD.

Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block ran IGPX as its first original series in 2003 and in 2005. Discotek will offer the complete series with both English subtitles and dubbing. Bandai Entertainment previously released the series on DVD.

With Lupin III: Bank of Liberty, Discotek continues its release of the Lupin III franchise's near-annual string of television specials. Discotek will offer the 1992 special under the title Lupin III: Bank of Liberty.
