Phantasy Star Online 2 Stage Play's 1st Half Hour Streamed

Sega is currently streaming first 30 minutes of the Phantasy Star Online 2 stage play, "Phantasy Star Online 2-ON STAGE-" on the Niconico service. The video is a recording from the December 4, 7 p.m. showing.
Those who wish to view past the 30-minute mark must purchase a digital ticket, for the price of 1,600 yen (about US$14). The play will be viewable by those who purchase a ticket until January 31, 2015. Tickets will be sold until January 4.
The story of the play revolves around normal male high school student Takaya, who logs into Phantasy Star Online 2 in order to adventure with his friends. However, all of a sudden, the player avatars within the game begin to go berserk.

The play ran from December 4 to 7 at the Aoyama Theater in Japan, and is the first project for the 15th anniversary of Phantasy Star Online. Series producer Satoshi Sakai and series director Yuya Kimura supervised the stage play, and Masahiro Nakayama produced it.
Phantasy Star Online 2 was released for Windows PC in Japan in 2012, followed by a PlayStation Vita release in 2013, and an Android and iOS release this past May. The game collaborated with Type-Moon's Fate/stay night and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya franchises as well as the third Puella Magi Madoka Magica film to add themed costumes, items, and voices last year.
