News Madman Entertainment Acquires A Good Librarian Like A Good Shepherd

On the 8th day of Madman's 12 Days of Christmas we have the announcement of A Good Librarian Like A Good Shepherd, the anime adaptation of the visual novel by August of the same name.
The announcement was made on Madman's facebook page and A Good Librarian Like A Good Shepherd will start streaming on AnimeLab in 2015 and receive a home video release at some point in the near future.

A Good Librarian Like A Good Shepherd
Kyōtarō Kakei is a model student, quiet and prefers to spend his time reading in the school library as the only member of the school's library club. But once Kyōtarō receives a message from a mysterious person named Shepherd stating his fate is going to change Kyōtarō sees a vision of fellow student, Tsugumi Shirasaki, in danger. One rescue of a beautiful girl later and Kyōtarō has Tsugumi wanting to join the library club and she plans to work with Kyōtarō to start making life at the school a little more interesting.
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai - A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd is based on the 2013 adult visual novel of the same name by August (creators of Fortune Arterial).
This 12 episode adaptation was created by "Team Nico", five people who are collectively serving as director, character designer, and chief animation director. Team Nico consists of Kenichi Konishi (The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos animation director and character designer), Tomomi Kamiya (Space Dandy, Hal, Psycho-Pass animator), Asami Sodeyama (Hayate the Combat Butler: Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Space Brothers, Saint Seiya Omega animator), Kaori Hayashi (The Tale of Princess Kaguya, The Garden of Words animator) and Yuu Nobuta (Dog Days, Asura Cryin', Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 episode director).
Madoka Yonezawa leads the cast as Tsugumi and Junji Majima stars as protagonist Kyōtarō. Other cast members include Nozomi Yamamoto as Senri, Yuka Saitou as Tamamo, Atsumi Tanezaki as Nagi, and Eri Sendai as Kana, among others.
The series premiered on the 8th of October 2014 and is being streamed by funimation in North America.
The first of six home video releases in Japan will hit shelves on the 25th of December and include the first two episodes and the OVA special "Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai Zenyasai" that aired on October 1 and a reversible cover with an original design by Kenichi Konishi. A limited edition Blu-ray set will also include a display box, a special manga booklet, two PR cards from Chaos TCG, and two postcards featuring end illustrations. The special edition will retail for 7,800 yen (about AUD$80), the regular edition Blu-ray will retail for 6,800 yen (about AUD$70) and the DVD will retail for 5,800 yen (about AUD$60).
