Assassination Classroom Anime's 2-Minute Promo Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the Assassination Classroom anime debuted a 130-second "long promotional video" and a new key visual on Monday.
Nagisa (as voiced by Mai Fuchigami), Kaede (Aya Suzaki), Karma (Nobuhiko Okamoto), Yuma (Ryota Ohsaka), and Hiroto (Shintaro Asanuma) sing the opening theme song, "Seishun Satsubatsu-ron" (Youth Savage Theory) as a group named 3-nen E-gumi Utatan (Class 3-E Song Representatives) in the video. The music duo Moumoon perform "Hello, shooting-star," the anime's ending theme song that is previewed at the end of the video.
TV: This creature who demolished the Moon is going to demolish Earth in March of the next year.
TV: To be frank, I would like you all to kill this creature.
TV: In other words, "to assassinate."
Student: That's impossible.
Student: It is too swift.
Student: You can't kill it flying at Mach 20.
Student: Because we are in Class E.
Koro-sensei: Let's assassinate proudly in a way that you could show your smile to others.
Koro-sensei: You are all assassins, capable of carrying this out.
Student: This abnormal education usually makes me happy.
Student: 'Cause we are losers..are you saying that we won't make it?
Student: I've been thinking that I wanted to kill the creature we call our teacher.
Student: I can't kill...
Tadaomi Karasuma: Junior high students are happily talking about the assassination.
Tadaomi Karasuma: This is the room with insanity in the air.
Irina: Adults have our own way to do it.
Student: We are assassins.
Student: The target is the teacher.
Student: Offered the reward of 10 billion and the junior high school diploma, our class will begin.
Koro-sensei: I wish you could kill by the time of graduation.
Student: Our Assassination Classroom
Student: We will kill you, teacher, before you demolish the Earth.

The correspondence course company Z-Kai is supervising the class portions of the anime as part of its collaboration with the franchise.
The anime's Twitter account also posted images from this past weekend's Jump Festa 2015, including a blackboard with visitors' doodles, the Koro-sensei ball pit, the displays at the event and the Odaiba Koro-sensei shop, the character photo ops at Avex Pictures' booth, the "chara-yaki" snacks at the nearby Aeon Mall Makuhari Shintoshin, the classroom replica, and more.

Viz Media published the first volume of Yusei Matsui's original manga in North America in December. Viz Media describes the story:
A humorous and action-packed story about a class of misfits who are trying to kill their new teacher – an alien octopus with bizarre powers and super strength! The teacher has just destroyed the moon and is threatening to destroy the earth – unless his students can destroy him first. What makes things more complicated is that he's the best teacher they've ever had!
Jun Fukuyama will play Koro-sensei, Tomokazu Sugita will play Tadaomi Karasuma and Shizuka Itou will play Irina Jelavic. Tomokazu Seki, Junichi Suwabe, and Yui Horie played the same characters, respectively, in the earlier event anime special.
The voice cast for Class 3-E includes:

Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation) is directing the anime at the studio Lerche. Kazuaki Morita (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation, Arpeggio of Blue Steel) is designing the characters, and Makoto Uezu (Danganronpa The Animation, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Is This a Zombie?, School Days) is writing the scripts.
Funimation will begin streaming the anime on January 9. The series will air on late Friday nights at 25:20 (effectively Saturday morning at 1:20 a.m.) on Fuji TV, and a live-action film will follow. A second event anime debuted last month, and a promotional video for the television anime will debut at Jump Festa this weekend.
