Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise Launches New Project, 2nd Game, 3rd Manga

posted on by Egan Loo
2 new characters teased in new project slated for "201X"

The Comic Market 87 booth for the Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel game and anime franchise began streaming a promotional video for "Project TA Next Stage" on Sunday. The booth and video are announcing the third manga, a second game (after the PSP game Katō Tenshi Twin Angel ~Toki to Sekai no Meikyū with the same staff), and the start of a new project in "201X." The video and poster for the new project teases the silhouettes of two new characters.

The franchise features little girls who transform into crime fighters with magic powers. The voice cast includes Mamiko Noto as Aoi Kannazuki, alias Blue Angel, Yukari Tamura as Haruka Minazuki, alias Red Angel, and Rie Kugimiya as Kurumi Hazuki, alias White Angel.

The franchise began with the first Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel pachislo (slot machine for pachinko parlors) game in 2006. It then spawned a two-part original video anime (OVA) in 2008, followed by a television anime in 2011. A second original video anime project, Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel: Kyun Kyun Tokimeki Paradise!!, will retail on January 30, but the franchise's Comic Market 87 booth is selling advance copies this week. Crunchyroll streamed the television anime series under the title Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise.

In addition to the line of pachislo games and the PSP adventure game in 2011, the franchise also inspired a PC visual novel in 2009.

Besides advance copies of the new OVA, the franchise's Comic Market booth is selling a "True Hero" bag set with the OVA and two clear posters, a "Petite Hero Set" (with a 2015 calendar, smartphone stand, and earphone jack), random drawing prizes, a full-color t-shirt, and an oil-based cigarette lighter.
