Ikki Tousen: Extravaganza Epoch OVA's 2nd Promo Streamed

The official website for the Ikki Tousen anime franchise is streaming the second promotional video for the upcoming Ikki Tousen: Extravaganza Epoch original video anime. The video features the song "Endless Fighter" by Yui Sakakibara. The promotional video for the new OVA debuted at the Comic Market 87 event that was held last weekend.

The OVA consists of two episodes, which aired on Japanese television station AT-X on December 21 and 28, respectively. The Blu-ray set will ship on February 25. A number of retailers are offering retailer-specific box art and gifts with purchase.
New cast members include Rui Tanabe as Mitsuyoshi Yagyū, Yōko Hikasa as Benkei Musashibō, Yuiko Tatsumi as Yoshitsune Minamotonokurō, Hideo Ishikawa as Inshun Hōzōin, and Chiaki Takahashi as Himiko.

Geneon Entertainment once released the first Ikki Tousen anime series in North America, and Funimation then picked up the license. Media Blasters had licensed both the second Ikki Tousen anime series, Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny, and the third series, Ikki Tousen Great Guardians, but Funimation picked up the license for Ikki Tousen: Great Guardians.
The last entries in the franchise, Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor and Ikki Tousen: Shūgaku Tōshi Keppu-roku, debuted in 2010 and 2011. Funimation licensed Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor with Ikki Tousen: Shūgaku Tōshi Keppu-roku.
