Anime's second season premieres in Japan on January 10

The February issue of Kodansha's Aria magazine announced on Sunday that Ikuyo Hashiguchi and Sora Sumeraki's Shōnen Hollywood: Holly Trip for You manga will end in the following issue on January 28. The story follows the Shōnen Hollywood anime's idols as they travel to Hawaii to shoot a new music video, but run into trouble.

The Shounen Hollywood anime series is inspired by Ikuyo Hashiguchi's mixed-media project Shounen Hollywood and is produced by anime studio ZEXCS (Diabolik Lovers, Cuticle Detective Inaba) and the music label Starchild Records. The second season, Shōnen Hollywood - Holly Stage for 50, will premiere on January 10. Funimation will stream the second season as it airs in Japan. Shogakukan Bunko published Hashiguchi's original popular novel Shōnen Hollywood in July 2012.

The anime tells an original story, set 15 years after the novel's story. It takes place at a fictional theater called Hollywood Tokyo in Harajuku, where members of the idol group "Shōnen Hollywood" develop their talents with diligent work and studying.
