God Eater 2: Rage Burst Opening Anime by ufotable Streamed

Bandai Namco Games began streaming the opening animation for its upcoming game God Eater 2: Rage Burst on Thursday. The footage features animation by the studio ufotable.

The game will serve as the final chapter of God Eater 2. The game will include new features, such as a new scenario, a new weapon called a "Valiant Scythe," as well as a new action system called, "Blood Rain." Players will be able to move over save data from their PSP to the PS Vita version, but not to the PlayStation 4 version. The PS Vita version will be able to share data with the PlayStation 4.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst will ship on February 19 retail for 5,690 (about US$55) on PS Vita and 6,640 yen (about US$65) on PS4. The game inspired limited edition PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation TV consoles, which will ship on February 4.
A television anime of the God Eater franchise was announced at this year's Tokyo Game Show. Takayuki Hirao will direct the anime at ufotable with character designs by Keita Shimizu (Tales of Phantasia, ToHeart2 key animation) and music by Go Shiina (Kyousogiga, God Eater games).
