Kana Hanazawa Gets Her Own Concert at Nippon Budōkan

The official website of voice actress/singer Kana Hanazawa announced on Christmas that she will perform her first solo live concert at the famed Nippon Budōkan arena. The date and other details will be announced in the future.

The singer will hold a "Hanazawa Kana Special Live: Yakushimaru Etsuko Songs" concert on January 12 to mark the December 24 release of her seventh single, "Kokyūtosu" (Cocytus, pictured above). The concert will feature single's title song and other songs by singer-songwriter Etsuko Yakushimaru. The single included an application form for a ticket to the event.

Nippon Budōkan is an indoor arena venue that can seat about 14,000 attendees, although it typically seats 10,000 or less when configured for musical concerts.

Mamoru Miyano was the first male voice actor to perform at the arena. GRANRODEO (with voice actor Kishô Taniyama), Nana Mizuki, Yukari Tamura, Yui Horie, Maaya Sakamoto, and Minori Chihara have performed in the arena as well, and the rock band OLDCODEX (with voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki) will perform there on February 11.
