Kamen Rider Drive meets Kamen Rider #3 who first appeared in manga 4 decades ago

The teaser trailer for the tokusatsu (special effects) film Superhero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3-gō (Superhero Wars Grand Prix: Kamen Rider #3) aired in Japan on Sunday. The teaser features the first look at Kamen Rider #3, outside the manga pages of franchise creator Shotaro Ishinomori.

The film will show Kamen Rider Drive from the latest Kamen Rider series when he first meets Kamen Rider #3. Kamen Rider V3 will also appear in the film. Ishinomori first presented Kamen Rider #3 in the "3-gō Rider Tai Black Shogun no Maki" (Rider #3 VS Black Shogun) manga one-shot in Bessatsu Tanoshii Yōchien magazine on October 1, 1972.

Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Drive & Gaim Movie: Taisen Full Throttle film director Takayuki Shibasaki returns to direct Superhero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3-gō. Shoji Yonemura (Kamen Rider Decade, Kamen Rider Kabuto, Smile PreCure!) wrote the screenplay.

The film will open on March 21. As the teaser notes, participating theaters will begin offering one of two different Kamen Rider notebooks with each advance ticket on February 7.
