Yakuza Zero Game Gets Limited Edition PS Vita, PS TV

Yakuza Zero free-to-play PS Vita app allows players to play part of Sega game with in-game purchases

Sega announced on Friday at the Ryū ga Gotoku 0: Chikai no Basho (Yakuza 0: The Place of Oath) completion conference in Tokyo that a limited edition Ryū ga Gotoku 0 PlayStation Vita and PS Vita TV (PlayStation TV) value pack will be sold in Japan.

Although the Ryū ga Gotoku 0: Chikai no Basho game is not being released for the PS Vita, it will have a "Ryū ga Gotoku 0: Basic Free-to-Play App for PlayStation Vita" app that allows players to play part of the game for free. The app will also have contents that can be purchased. The app will be released on February 26, the same day as the PS Vita and PS Vita TV. The PS Vita will retail for 20,980 yen (about US$179), and the PS Vita TV value pack will sell for 16,280 yen (about US$140). Pre-orders for both will begin on the Sony Store website at 8:00 p.m. JST on Friday.

The Ryū ga Gotoku 0: Chikai no Basho PlayStation 3 and 4 game will ship in Japan on March 12.
