Crayon Shin-chan Films Get DVD Magazine

Eiga Crayon Shin-chan DVD Collection, a DVD magazine with the Crayon Shin-chan movies, will debut on February 17. The 21 planned issues will ship every other Tuesday in Japan.
The magazine will include almost every movie in the franchise from 1993's Crayon Shin-chan: Action Kamen vs Haigure Maô to 2013's Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Bakauma—! B-Kyū Gourmet Survival!! (Another movie, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Gachinko! Gyakushū no Robo Tō-chan or Crayon Shin-chan: Serious Battle! Robot Dad Strikes Back!, just opened in Japan last April.) Each issue will have one movie on DVD, and the issue itself will profile the characters and story in that movie.
The inaugural issue will feature Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi o Yobu Mōretsu! Otona Teikoku no Gyakushū, the movie that was selected for the Japan Media Arts Festival's Nihon no Media Geijutsu 100 Sen list in the animation category. The first issue will cost 799 yen (about US$6.80), while subsequent issues will cost 1,499 yen (US$12.75).
