Crunchyroll Launches Original Content Line With Hiroyuki Takahashi's HYPERSONIC music club

Webcomic will be exclusive to Crunchyroll; more new content to follow

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Friday that is is launching a "Crunchyroll Originals" line for original content made in collaboration with Japanese creators. The line will span multiple types of media.

The first installment in the line will be a full color webcomic HYPERSONIC music club by artist Hiroyuki Takahashi (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, Chironup no Kitsune). The comic will run for free on Crunchyroll beginning on January 30, and will update with two new pages per month along with bonus art and character bios.

In the world of tomorrow… when technology has reached it limits… a group of young cyborgs must battle the extra-dimensional monster girls for final control of the enigmatic force known only as…The Mystery Frequency!
