2 new characters previewed from March 26 game

The official website for Bandai Namco Games' Sword Art Online: Lost Song PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game began streaming the pair of television commercials for the game on Tuesday. The "Rain" ad features the song "Yoru no Niji o Koete" (Over the Night Rainbow) by Luna Haruna, while the "Seven" ad features the song ”Cynthia no Hikari" (Cynthia's Light") by Eir Aoi.

Seven: Privyet (Hello), Kirito!
Kirito: Not bad, my lady songstress!
Rain: You know, Seven is pretty weak.
Kirito: I want to hear it one time.
Text: We reject the song that wished for peace for all.
Rain: We'll make the Cloud of Rain appear right here.

Rain: You're awesome, Kirito.
Kirito: Well, that's how it is.
Woman: What business do you have with the guild leader of Shamrock?
Rain: I'm sorry, Seven.
Kirito: What do you mean?
Text: We reject the song that wished for peace for all.
Rain: Kirito! This song...
Rain: When I'm with you, I see the VR world shining.

The commercials preview two new characters appearing in the game:

Seven, a girl who sports a youthful look within the game, but is in fact a brilliant Russian scientist. She is researching virtual reality, and is considered "the light" compared to Akihiko Kayaba. She is the guild leader of "Shamrock," and her appearance is similar to that of her real-life one. Seven is voiced by Hisako Kanemoto (Sailor Moon Crystal, Gingitsune).

Rain, a girl whose lovely expression belies honed battle skills . She is chasing around Kirito and his friends for some reason. A girl with many mysteries. Voiced by Miyu Takagi (Wake Up, Girls!)

Kadokawa's Dengeki PlayStation magazine confirmed in November that Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment's Philia (voiced by Yui Ishikawa) will appear in the game. Philia first appeared in the Hollow Area of the earlier Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment game that shipped last year.

Bandai Namco Games is localizing the game in English and Chinese for Asian markets. Bandai Namco Games' Yōsuke Futami said that Lost Song's English translation will be better than Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song's PlayStation 3 version will cost 7,120 yen (about US$66), and the PlayStation Vita version will cost 6,170 yen (US$57). A limited edition that includes box art by abec, an original soundtrack CD, a Blu-ray Disc with special content, a mini-clear poster, and a special booklet will retail at 9,980 yen (US$92). The game will ship in Japan on March 26.

Bandai Namco Games unveiled the game's development at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show stage event on September 19. Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online light novel series already inspired the Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment and Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment games for the PlayStation Vita system. The light novels also inspired two television anime series.
