PS4/PS3/Vita/Xbox One game adds 2 new characters, 4 new story scenarios

Publisher Aksys Games announced on Thursday that it will ship Arc System Works' Blazblue Chrono Phantasma EXTEND fighting game on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One this summer.

Blazblue Chrono Phantasma EXTEND is the latest game in the Blazblue series. Arc System Works released the original arcade version in November 2012. The game continues the story from Blazblue Chrono Phantasma, and includes new story scenarios which focus on the characters Bullet, Kagura, and Kokonoe. It will also include a story scenario focused on the events and characters from the Blazblue: Remix Heart manga, set three years before the first game. The scenario will include new characters that were previously featured only in the manga, such as Mai Natsume (voiced by Saori Hayami) and Kajun Faycott (voiced by Saki Fujita).

The game also includes two new playable characters, Celica and Lambda-11, and will refine the Overdrive mechanics from the previous game.

The official Japanese website for the game began streaming a promotion video for the the game on Thursday.

Arc System Works will release the game in Japan on April 23. Aksys Games released the original BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma game in North America on PS3 last March and on PS Vita last June.
